Heavenly Father,
Your Word tells us that "the foolishness of God is wiser than men" (1 Cor. 1:25). We could never come close to the standard you set! Your wisdom is pure, it is peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and even more (James 3:17)!
You know that I lack wisdom and fall short in an attempt to discern the right path to take. I am prone to make the wrong choices and have done so often.
Thank you for the promise in James 1:5! Thank you for the blessing of Proverbs 3:13!
I ask that you give me wisdom in this struggle I'm facing. I cannot make it on my own and I know that Your Way is the best way.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Healing of America
Heavenly Father,
You are a builder of nations, the giver and taker of all we have. You have blessed our great country immensely and richly. You have delivered us from evils time and time again for which we give thanks.
But now, many in this country have turned from your ways. We as a people have begun to turn our backs to you. We slander you, mock you, and stand for ideals and causes not pleasing to you. We constantly disregard your law and word. For this, your Church asks for forgiveness. For many years, our collective prayer to you was to bless our country. You have. We lift our voices now to direct that prayer in a more fitting manner:
God heal America, Land that I love;
Stand beside her, and guide her,
Through the night with a Light from above,
From the mountains, through the prairies, to the oceans white with foam,
God heal America, my home sweet home;
God heal America, my home sweet home!
Thank you for the promise to never leave or forsake your people (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Thank you for the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14!
Please be with our leaders and allies. Give them strength and wisdom in the face of turmoil.
In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen

Forgivness of Sins
Heavenly Father,
You are The Way, The Truth and The Life (John 14:6). You are that I AM.
Once again, I come to you, upset at my failures. You have called us to be holy as you are holy (1 Peter 1:16). But my human nature persists. Inside me is a natural born liar, thief, blasphemer, adulterer and fornicator. Even so, it is still not an excuse to sin, for sin is still sin.
Forgive me for my trespasses. Destroy the evil in me (1 John 3:8). Wash me clean and create in me a new mindset.
Thank you for your mercy (Psalm 86:5), thank you for the gift of forgiveness (1 John 1:9).
I pray that you keep me walking in Your Will, and I pray that you guard my heart and mind from the evils of this world.
In Jesus name,
Amen
